Recording Xenakis

My particular interest in performance is contemporary music and I'm especially interested in works that challenge our normal concepts of music and performance. While I can play little on the violin that resembles environmental sounds, indeed it often sounds electronic, I do share concerns with my friends and colleagues who work with environmental sounds. We're all together in our concerns for the future of the planet.

The recording session took place, January 20, 2011. The reception was a book release party for Performing Xenakis on January 24, 2011. Both events took place at EMF Studios in New York City.
